I have started the lip sync project by modifying the provided rig. After deciding to animate over the introduction sequence from the Witcher 3, I textured the model to look similar to Geralt of Rivia.
Soon after I started to animate, I realized that the character was a bit too simplistic to cover the range of movements that I needed.
The rig that I ended up using was taken from Facewaretech.com (http://facewaretech.com/learn/training-assets/). The following image, found on Google, proved to be a great resource for choosing the right mouth shape.
The final render features a piece of concept art from the game, as a background. One thing that I have noticed too late was that the texture on the cape was flickering slightly. That might have been caused by the fact that it was a standard Maya leather material.
