University of Portsmouth - Animation Yr. 1 - Animation Production
I knew that my animation will be Assassin's Creed themed even before I started to make the background. Because of that I started to look at old Italian architecture and I came up with some house models. Because I didn't have a lot of experience when I started to build my background I created actual tiles for the rooftops instead of using textures. And because of that, of course, I ran into performance problems.
At this point I was pleased with my models but I realized that the city was too different from the theme of the wild west. Therefore, I recycled my models and added new textures so they would fit the theme. I also used the background mountains and houses texture from the provided assets for High Noon.

After I finished the project I noticed that some of these models are too complex. Since these are props are visible only in the distance, the detailed wireframe was not really needed.
